This video reflects on the concept of a cancelled future. Following the collapse of the USSR, the people in post-Soviet states found themselves stripped of the hope for a future, the envisioned bright communist future for which a collective sacrifice was justified and expected.
The video begins with a quote from Yuri Gagarin, the first cosmonaut, and then progresses to show traffic lights continuously displaying repeating numbers, asking whether the image of a future is at all possible.
